Two interesting articles in the SJ Mercury News about the Northern California "Groundfish" Fishery.

I had an idea that they were overfished, but I had no clue that the fishery was in such bad shape. I didn't know those fish were so old and had such abnormal reproductive cycles. In my mind they were the Bluegill of the ocean.

If you have a chance, pick up the SJ Mercury News and read the articles (front page, valley section).
