2967, Nice catch at Csaitas?

Anybody else heard about his? Quoting from AllCoast:

"Just to set things straight - I don't recall him saying that it was 27 casts. Just that the first three or four casts were: 8, 10, 12 pound fish so on. Final count for the day was 27. Pretty amazing stuff. Yes, we bought in to it - for some good reasons. Stan went back to Casitas with him, but didn't have the same results, until they started stocking the trout in to the lake. As soon as Stan and Matt saw the trout getting close to the boat, they started getting bit. All big fish. BTW: Matty kept the 27 bass in his and his friends live wells for a picture later and yes, the pix were sent to WON for publication. There were a lot of witnesses to the 27 fish in other boats and on the shore. Word gets out quick.

It was an 8" Huddleston swim bait. Huddleston is a very realistic trout imatation. The mold was taken from a trout body. It looks very real. There are some internal changes also like weights and/or floats, I don't know. Also the tail is different. Matt was also saying that the St. Croix rod he was using made a difference because of the way the fish were biting and the way the rod cast.

The water was muddy and he found the fish by "feeling the weeds" and they were all bunched up in one spot maybe getting ready to spawn.

Laugh if you want, cry if you want, the guy has witnesses and photos.

Right bait, right rod, right place, right angler - it all factors in.

27 fish over 8 pounds in one day - pretty cool! It's more of a career than a good day!
