558, Hodgman Waders Customer Service

I just wanted to share my experience with you. I had purchased a pair from Sportmart almost a year ago. When I initially used it I would notice my clothes underneath would get slightly wet. Well recently about a month ago when I went tubing my shorts were completely wet. I called Hodgman which is now owned by Stearns and told them of my situation. I didn't have the receipt anymore but they instructed me to send it in anyway for evaluation. Well to my surprise I received a package in the mail yesterday and it was for a completely new pair of Hodgman breathable waders. They didn't tell me what was wrong with the other pair but I was so happy to get a new pair I didn't really care. I will definately keep buying their products if this is how they treat their customers! :7

That's good to hear. I owned about 5 pairs of Hodgmans over the years and they all wound up leaking. Shoulda sent them back I guess, doh. My latest pair is a breathable pair of Orvis. No leaking after 1.5 years, a most excellent product.

Well this pair was leaking from the get to. I let it go thinking it was condensation or something but then my cousin had a pair too that didn't leak at all. I think a large part of the customer service is Stearns taking over Hodgman. Orvis brand waders are the best but they are pretty pricey. My buddy got a pair for $200 at the Orvis store it was actually $300 but was on sale. The guy also told him if there was any problem with it or he didn't like it he can always come back to exchange it even without a receipt.

Yea i have had a pair of the breathables for a few months now. The first time they were fine but it's been gradually getting worse,my pants are becoming more damp after each use. Eman how long did it take after you sent them to get a new pair cause i'll probably get some cheap ones in the mean time.

It took about 4 weeks before I got them. They just told me to send in the old pair for evaluation and about 4 weeks later I received a new pair no questions asked. You have to call them before you ship them because they will give you a reference/tracking number that you have to write on the package before you send it in.
