What's up with these masks? I was all stoked to try mine out on Saturday. It fit real nice and seemed like a great idea. I ran about 2 minutes in the rain and the outer lens got all smeared up with water to where I could hardly see.

I tried it two more times and it fogged up. I tried while wearing my sunglasses under it and without the sunglasses. I had to stop the boat in the middle of the lake and take it off so I could see. Whats up with that.

I have a pair of them... they are good in dry cold conditions, or wet good viz conditions (mid day), but as you experienced there are times where it messes with your visibility. Treat the outside with rain-x, inside with fog-x, that helps.

I don't wear mine much as I regularly run in the dark and I just can't see with it on. The passenger in my single console likes it though!

I've had the same issues, I just try not to wear it so tight to my face to trap heat and condensation and that seems to help. I just use the clear lens most of the time so I can see.

Do you have the vented or non vented? I have both and the non vented seems to fog up a lot more. You can tell by looking at the rubber foam part that lays against your face. It will either be solid all the way around, or have indentions for air flow. I have also noticed if you leave it on your head prior to blast off it doesn't fog as bad either. As it is already being exposed to the elements. I have also noticed that on long runs my breathe alone inside the closed mask will make it fog up. There is no where for the warmer air to escape.

I have the clear lens. I don't think it's vented. Putting Rain-X on seems like a good idea. I'll have to look for Fog-X, haven't seen that one before.

It seems like they should make the mask so it actually works out of the package. The whole reason I bought it was for rain and hail.

The chemical's they use for the anti fog on this is the same as the military uses and is top notch. It seems mine have good days and bad days, for some reason. They say dont use any chemicals on the lenses as you could remove the coating already on the lenses. With that said I have heard people using rainx and fogx on them and it has worked. I know the owner and all the top teir guys at SP and can set you up with them if you would like to discuss this in more details. they are all good people and support there product 100%

If I know I am going to use it in the morning I put it in the van while I drive to the lake. Warming the mask up helps to keep the mask from fogging on very cold mornings. I returned the first mask I had because of the fogging issue, and Save Phace was cool and sent me another mask to try and this one fogs up considerably less (it was a vented mask). I still have some fogging issues if I have to pull the cold mask out of my compartment and put it on to my warm face.

I looked at the price on these and decided to go with a paintball mask. I was going to go with an old Scott race face but they quit making them so long ago they get expensive on eBay. Paintball mask works pretty good though and takes up less space for $5.00 - $15.00 and no fogging issues yet.
