Does anyone have a 7’ light 701SF Dobyns if so how do you like it? I've been using a 782 IMX Loomis for split shoting and was wondering how the Dobyns would compare to the Loomis? I want to pick one up from TW.

The 702 is a better choice Imo but both would work really well. The price is right on those rods as well. Good luck with whatever rod you purchase. :-)

I am not much of a fan of the Loomis D/S Rod....I have used it and have good close friends that swear by them...just not for me

If you want to try a Dobyns for D/S....go with the Dobyns 702 spinning rod...a tad stiffer and for me a better rod for D/S...i have the 701 if you ever want to try it....but for me the 702 is a much more versatile rod...don't get me wrong...i D/S with the Dobyns 701 right now...but find my self using the the 702 more

i live in Lancaster...not to far from you...shoot me an email if you want to borrow and see for your self
