I have a pair of Hodgeman waders that have been great so far. 3 years and no leaks. I have the breathable model. I have heard a lot of great things about the Gore Tex Simms but they are $300...

simms are great if you want to spend the money,go for the guide edition the g3org4 are a joke for the money you'll pay .Or look at the cabela's they always make a pretty good product and if you don't like them send them back and get full refund,that won't happen with simms.

Generally speaking - get breathable over neoprene. I think I went through about 6 pairs of neoprene, they always got a leak, always.

I went with the Orvis silver label waders for my last puchase. It's been about 2.5 years now and no leaks. I'm very happy with them. I hear good things about the Simms also.

If you are going to be spending a lot of time in your waders Simms are the only choice. I have used everything else out there (except for the Cloudveils, which also review very good comments). Next to Simms, Patagonias have lasted me the longest. I got about 50 days last year on my Patagonias before they were just wore out. The Cabelas and Hodgman waders just don't hold up to the long hours I spend in my waders. I spend a lot of time fishing in my waders, and even more time in waders during work. Just remember that no breathable wader will hold up to crashing through berry patches and brush. Usually you can find the Simms Classic Guides on ebay for a few bucks cheaper than the shops.
