As long as the 12 power wire doesn't touch the grounding wire your fine. If you can get to the wire that is nicked by the screw, use some good silicon like for doors and windows ( type 3 at the home depot) or if there is a west marine local you can get some marine grade silicon and smear it all over the cut area and try to spread the wires apart (the red and black wires) the best you can so the silicon will go between the wires and when it dries you won't have any problems, try to make sure the exsposed area isn't touching anything metal. This might last the life of the motor good luck.
