2870, Dropper Loop versus Drop Shot

For largemouth bass drop shotting, would you suggest the palomar knot drop shot (puts hook against main line) or dropper loop like a saltwater rig? The dropper loop is cut and the hook tied to the end of that dropper line so the hook rides at a desired distacne from the main line. This lets the hook wave more in the water.

You want the hook to be in line with the mainline so that the bait has action when you're fishing dropshot. Dropper loop is better if you're fishing livebait because the bait can swim more freely, but if you're imparting all the action on a bait, it's easier to do with dropshot.
