OK, spill it John :P

I was just reading about the new Okuma low profile baitcasters and they sound awesome! Have you got to try any of em out yet? If so, what do you think and do you know when they'll be available?

The more Okumas I buy, the more I like them.

I've heard of a certain someone taking these out on some Redfish and giving them a workout. I hear the drags are great and the Prototypes held up well. Just some final refinements and they'll be good to go.

Two Series...

Nemesis Low Profile - $99 Retail - Comes with either a deep spool or a wiffle spool. 7 + 1 stainless steel sealed ball bearings. 1 piece aluminum frame with an easy access side plate. Centrifugal braking system.

VS Low Profile - $129 retail - Comes with a wiffle spool in the reel and a spare deep spool in the box. Easy access sideplate. 9 HPB's (Anti - Corrosion bearings)plus the infinite anti reverse bearing. One piece aluminum frame. Forged handle with holes. Aluminum star.

Don't forget about the new aluminum spinning reels too. 4 series ranging from $69 - $149. The VS spinning has up to 16 of our new HPB's and E2B's (ceramic balls).

All of the above mentioned reels will be available around the first of the year. I have fished the baitcasters on some very hard pulling fish (Redfish over 30 pounds). The reels have some final tweeking to be done but they are a pretty sound reel. I will be testing more samples in the next few months.

Thanks That was the info I wanted! I was guestimating that the VS would run about $140. Which is still more then affordable for a quality reel.
