Anyone have any info, any good or bad experiences that anyone is willing to share?

Most other brands come up in the posts on the various boards but I haven't heard a lot about the Eagles (by California Custom Worms).

If nothing else, maybe someone could tell me how they are rigged. Are they pro-rigged?

I have 1 of the eagle swimbaits and they are alright. They are different from most swimbaits as you run your line through the nose and tie directly to your line, this helps prevent tearing them bait when fish hit. Kind of like a Pro rigged Osprey but these are done that way from the manufacturer, minus the stinger hook.

I did a little bit a research in the archives and found some info. Probably should have done that before posting; haste makes waste.

Anyway, thanks for the info that has been provided thus far.

To be more specific, I am interested in the smaller size eagles, like the 5.5" models. I am looking for a subtle swimbait that would get more bites than the big rubber (9"-12"). I love my pro-rigged Ospreys and would have a hard time supplanting them in my tackle box with another "unproven" (at least to me) brand.

I like Mattlures waking baits but am not sure what sizes they come in, or how they are rigged and they are hard to find, even here in San Diego. The Eagles look like a quality small swimbait, almost a "tournament" swimbait, with some good colors. I particularly like the pro-rig setup and I think that even the small eagles come rigged that way. I am not sure about the little Ospreys, I love that they come three to a pack but four inches is almost too small, no?

my waking baits are rigged with a line through design. The line goes through the lure and ties directly to the split ring with makes the bait last much longer. They are available in 7in and 9in and you can order them from my website. They are aslo availible at several stores
here in so Cal.
