First off; be sure you're rigging your EWG hook this way: http://www.bassdozer.com/images/lasso4.jpg Then get some of http://yamamoto.baits.com/cgi-bin/order/59-10 of those hooks as they were designed(yes, they are different than other EWG hooks). I use them in the 4/0 size for the 5" Senkos. My most productive(literally 100's of Bass from 6 ozs to 7 lbs) color has been their color #222.

I throw them as far as I can(the 100% f/c line will set the hook as it has very little stretch) with just that hook for weight. I let them fall to the depth that I think the Bass are at. I then twitch, pause, twitch it back. I also wacky-rig them and have been having a lot of success doing that recently. See the pics:
