For throwing lite lures and pitching the Chronarh spool upgrade and cleaning the bearings and then lubing them with rocket fuel made a big difference. My reel was over a year old when I made the upgrade. I wouldn't necessarily recommend upgrading a new or newer reel. Also, keep your line capacity in mind because the CU200 BSF costs less than a CU100 with the upgraded spool. Due to my smaller hands, I prefer the CU100s but have a need for the CU200s on the Delta when using heavier line. The cast control cap assy was out of stock when I bought the spool so I can't help you there but its cheap enough that I'm going to buy it when its available.
